LO1 (P1. 1):

There are primarily four types of organisations. Private sector organisations, Public sector Organisations, voluntary organisations and cooperatives. Private Sector:

In the personal sector, businesses operate in order to maximize the earnings. They increase finance by issuing stocks, borrowing loans from banks etc . They are really owned and controlled simply by private get-togethers. For example Traditional bank of Maldives, Amin Structure pvt limited, Haza Construction pvt ltd. Their key aim should be to maximize the earnings.

General public sector:

Public sector organisations are owned and regulated by the government. The key aim is to take the required the public. They don't operate pertaining to profits. For example: Maldives Police Service, IGMH, MNDF etc Voluntary Organisations:

It is operate by people. They do not function for profits. And they acquiring paid for the works they do. For example; Diabetic Society of Maldives, Fabulous Eyes of Maldives, Green peace and so on Cooperatives:

There are three main types of cooperatives.

Consumers Cooperatives:

It is a cooperative business owned by simply its buyers for their benefits. Their main aim is always to fulfil the needs with the members of the cooperative. They cannot operate pertaining to profit. Manufacturers Cooperatives:

It is also known as personnel cooperative where worker owners own and control the cooperative. They protect the rights of workers. Retailers Cooperatives:

All their main seek to get savings from the suppliers when they purchase in bulk volumes. These organisations can be classified in to 3 sectors:

Primary Sector:

These industries are involved in extraction or perhaps production of raw materials. Eg; Fishing, exploration, firming

Supplementary Sector:

These types of industries are involved in processing of raw materials. For example; Manufacturing, building, factory performs, fish canning

Amin Development and Haza Construction will probably be in supplementary sector as they are doing building works. Tertiary Sector:
